    toastanjam1967,

    toastanjam1967,
    thank you for that.
It is indeed a very unique stye, of strumming and finger picking.
I do know, he follows the notes he picks out, very carefully.
On some songs his Guitar playing has developed over the years. Songs such as , ” Sweet Baby James” and the chords in this song.
The only thing is, I cannot see him play them so clear, and this makes the sound ( to me ) of two Guitars at times.

    @ajengland ….no, …
@ajengland ….no, there is no other guitarist performing here. I’ve followed James for decades, and I’ve tried to learn his style. I’ve managed to learn a few of his songs, but he has such a unique style of chording… he’s at least as amazing of a guitarist as he is a singer and songwriter….. the best of our time!

    Can anyone tell me, …
Can anyone tell me, if there is another Guitarist playing along with James Talyor?
It is just that his playing, does not seem to follow the sound on this Video.
This is not, in anyway a slur on James Taylor, it is just a question.

    Suzana:)

This song conveys a feeling of extremly vailed sadness. But, gives one the feeling that they will be fine going on- an almost safe feeling. Only song I know that does this to me.

And his drug habbit,s and the suicide of his friens Suzanne in that time which his friends kept from him for some time and the loss of his band “flying machine”3 parts in the song ;-) you can find an interview with mr Taylor about this song, search for Top 2000 A Gogo -James Taylor

    hahaha just because …
hahaha just because this song and his appearence is gentle doesn’t mean he is. He could be a irrate drunken neglectful father, but if you can play fire and rain he is a gentle man. Your should hearing “Impression” by Coltrane because this video has given you one.
