I too grieved for … I too grieved for the passing of Gino, who I had known for more than 20 years in LA. We were not friends in the traditional sense of the word, but we shared this love for this wonderful music. How many enchanted nights he gave me at the Lares restaurant in Santa Monica and at El Cid in Los Feliz. When I heard of his passing, I cried all the tears of my body for 24 hours. Who said that grown men don’t cry? I so miss you, dear Gino.
The Flamenco world … The Flamenco world has lost one of the Best Guitarists, Artists and Musician of his generation and the 20th Century when GINO D’AURI passed away a year ago in Los Angeles. He was a Great Musician, Artist and Dearest Friend; we miss his artistry, great sense of humor, sensitivity and love of his art.
