How do you describe a steward / stewardess / flight attendant in your country!? I am a young flight attendant here in Brazil I presently fly overseas and here being a flight attendat is something really top, fancy and chic. Kind of most wished professions, how is it in your country?
well MOST of them are sweet and smile and try to talk nicely. they don’t really take their anger out on ppl. o and they are really talkative. lol References :
I am a flight attendant. We call ourselves flight attendants. But do not get offended if passengers refer to us as "stewardess". We only call ourselves "inflight crew" or "cabin crew" when speaking of company related terms or topics. I would say it is a sought after job, as thousands of people apply for every hundred that get hired. Chic? Maybe….glamorous? Only when walking through the airport. Then you get on the plane and you clean up people’s trash and children’s vomit. Not so glamorous then! References :

It’s not a horrible job, but it is not as chic as being a movie star or a professional athelete.

The same as you Steward or stewardess though I have heard people say Air hostess. United Kingdom

Cabin Crew is the term most commonly used and the preferred designation for today’s steward/stewardess/flight attendant.
