I haven’t published a Christian fiction novel, but no one else has answered, so…

There may be a few differences in publishing Christian vs Mainstream. I might be mistaken, but I think it’s easier to get your manuscript read by a Christian publisher without having to have an agent first. But don’t quote me on this – I may be very wrong!

You might try asking at http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/
You can ask questions and receive helpful answers from experienced writers. There is a section titled Religious Writing, with the subtitle, Christian. You might find some encouragement and success stories there. There is also a section titled, Bewares and Background Checks, which lists agents and publishers to stay away from. I would read this thread in depth before submitting to an unknown agent or publisher – it could save you some heartache.

http://www.absolutewrite.com/ is a writing community that features writing tips and helpful articles about how to submit your work for publication. At the top of the screen, click Take me to: Novels for articles that may be of interest to you.

Also, on http://forums.christianity.com/ you can scroll down to the section titled, Writer’s Roundtable. From lurking, I know there are a couple of published Christian author’s on there who seem very friendly and willing to give advice. If you posted the same question there, I’m sure someone would answer.

The only other thing that came to mind is http://www.christianwritersguild.com/
They have a legitimate, annual contest called, Operation First Novel, for previously unpublished Christian novelists. Tyndale House Publishers will publish the grand prize winner and give them a $20,000 advance against royalties. I think the deadline for this year may be over though.

Or, you might try looking at some of your favorite Christian author’s websites. A lot of times they have blogs or links to their interviews where they talk about their journey to publication.

Hope this helps! Good luck on your journey and don’t give up! God knows the desires of our hearts, and nothing is impossible with Him. May your book be a blessing to others!

If you wrote it, I would not read it, after the way you answered one of the questions I also answered. You are very judgmental, which is not a Christian trait. Why don’t you pair up with Lynne Cheney and write a conservative "Christian" novel?
I don’t mind that you have the political views that you do- though I think you are naive if you think all people who do not agree with your way of thinking are "whiners" who are not doing their best. You are wrong to clump everyone in one catagory. You say you are not rich, so I hope you mean that you at least make more than $100,000 a year, (which most people don’t) otherwise you are not benefitting from the present tax system that you think is so fair. And you think everyone has the same chance to start from nothing and become a millionaire? Then why isn’t everyone a millionaire? Are you going to tell these things to all the honest hard working single moms out there whose husbands left, and they can hardly provide for their children now, much less save for the future? The bible tells us life will not be fair in this world. Your way of thinking contradicts that. The bible tells us to take care of widows and children, and it also warns us against greed. Where does your way of thinking fit in with this?
And in regard to distribution of wealth you said, "If you were the one with the wealth I have a feeling you would not be agreeing with your own words." Hmm. Why would you say that to someone you don’t know? Just by saying it, you give the impression that you have a pretty negative view of humanity- that you believe that we only truly care about something if it directly affects ourselves. Some things are a matter of principle. Unchanging. In other words, if something is wrong, it doesn’t become right just because I benefit by it- get it? Are you a selfish person? The more you get the more you want? I am here to tell you that my generosity does not depend on my income, and according to the teachings of Jesus, neither should anyone else’s. Good luck with that book.
