lol Isnt that just the funniest book youve read?

Its pretty good for primitive writing but it makes no logical sense now that we know all that we do.

There are christians who believe in the bible LITERALLY. so I would say YEs there are christians who believe hell is the center of the earth

its not in christian teaching that the earth is hollow but it is possible that some christians beleive the earth is hollow.

hell is portrayed to be within the earth (why it is told to be made of fire, etc) and heaven in the clouds.

there are actually groups of people who beleive the earth is hollow.

I don’t really think that’s true. As far as I know, Christians are more concerned with the heavens and the earth below them. I’m pretty sure they accept the idea of several layers in the earth. I’m Christian, and I’ve never heard of this.

I think that was an awesome earthquake! I have never heard of a Christian or Jew who thought that the earth was hollow. But, my great-grandmother thought that the earth was flat. (he-he)

Edit: God didn’t destroy because he had a bad day, but because the Israelites turned heathen and were seduced by Moab and began worshiping gods.

God couldn’t have that in the Promised Land. People need to learn this. Numbers is a very serious account of the struggles of the Jews in the wilderness; they weren’t just hiking and singing. It was very brutal and thousands died.

I am not a very religious person, however, i think you might be interpreting this passage too literally.
I’m pretty sure christians do not believe the earth is hollow, and "hell", even if located in the center of the earth, does not occupy physical space.

And, how did you gather from that statement that Christians believe that the earth is hollow. There was a man(Lewis Galdy) in 1692 Port Royal Jamaica who was swallowed by an earthquake and subsequently spit out into the sea after. Does this say the earth is hollow. I think not.

its hard to believe in anything the bible say’s. We don’t know for sure if what the bible says truly happened. However, we know for sure that there is magma at the earth’s core. I rather believe in what science has proved rather than what people have written. I always wonder if jesus christ would have walked the earth today rather than at the time he did would anyone believe in him? or would they just throw him in a mental institute? I’m not saying that he did not really exist or that he did not do what they claim he did, im just saying you need to take into consideration the time frame of when all of this happened. We as humans are very ignorant and easily persuaded. Even now, when we believe that we are more enlightened and intelligent than our ancestors we are still making silly mistakes.

I gave you a star because you have asked an interesting scientific question here as well.
There is a second layer of the Earth’s mantle that was discovered when a Yugoslavian scientist was studying earthquake shocks. It is called the Moho, or Mohorovicic Discontinuity. It is all over the Earth and includes the cavern systems like the ones we have in the United States.
While I do not personally believe in Hell or a Devil, there have been strange things that are reported deep into caverns by many people throughout history. Could these reports have fueled the belief that the Devil lives underground?

Numbers 16:30-33. They, that is ALL of their families, not just two guys, were swallowed up- – ALIVE!! And also all of their tents. If you actually read The Bible, then you would know what, and why this happened. It also tells us that they were dropped into the pit. It does not say that the earth is hollow, again, Read, and study!

humm you read that, so what do you believe? Unfortunately all religious people will believe what ever they are told by their preachers, priest, rabbi’s, or other leaders. When will people start to think for themselves, instead of waiting to be told what they need to believe?

It’s not just the Bible saying that the earth swallowed people. Even the ‘Ramayana’ of the Hindus talks of several persons who were swallowed by the earth- to name one Sita, wife of Rama. The truth of all this account is questionable, though one cannot completely ignore it, since several religious books written at different times, bear such accounts.

This question could be debated upon untill someone dared to actually find out..and as luck would have it, many of us will soon have solid proof about it – The ‘Gravity train’ is all set to be launched in the near future!

A gravity train is a theoretical means of transportation intended to go between two points on the surface of the earth, following a straight tunnel that goes directly from one point to the other through the center of the earth. So as we cross from east to west through the core of the earth, every religion will have one common faith at least on this account..the nature of the center of the earth!

I just re-read it. What a horrible story, and how monstrous God behaves once again. A tyrant that has only one single response to anything: Killing.

The text does say that these people fell into the realm of the dead while still alive, so it suggests that the Israelites believed that that realm was undeground. However, it is also possible that, as usual, the term "sheol" means "the grave", in which case it actually says that they "went into their graves while still alive" which certainly suits the events.

Interesting is also that God displays himself to the people of Israel "In all his majesty" – and not once but twice. Interesting that. No man has seen him? Make that "loads of people have seen him".

Most Christians do not believe Hell is literally in the Earth, although I myself have encountered one particularly backward believer who did.

The core of Earth consists of superheated molten iron which, because of the pressure, behaves like a solid. At least, that is what the geologists say, and I don´t like to argue with people who actually know what they are talking about.

    But to answer your question…

If Christians DO believe that the earth is hollow…

Believing that "the earth is hollow" is the LEAST of the incredulous things they believe…

(We should be so lucky they stopped there…cuz parts of the upper crust of the earth ARE hollow…(they know that underneath the bottom of the ocean bed, there are vast caverns (not with a breath-able atmosphere, though, and we sure as sheet can never visit them…at least not yet, anyway…)

    But for sure…

    If the woman is pregnant…

Some dude got it on with her…(dooop!)
