If you want teachings… the author who speaks to me on the deepest level (on being an effective Christian) and who is the easiest to digest is Max Lucado.
The KORAN, too. It was written by Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue his name is Apollyon "Destroyer" (Revelation 9:11). Did you get that, Scapegoat? 9;11. I don’t recommend that book because the Devil is its author.
I guess it would depend on your age group and whether you are looking for fiction or doctrine etc. I have several but one of my favorites is Frank Peretti (mostly his older works like "This Present Darkness" etc.). I also love books like "The Case for Christ" by Lee Strobel, Jane Vogel. Also, Sigmund Brewer is an excellent writer I really love his Nick Barrett series. References :
