Mormon’s come in all varieties of people. Mormon is the nickname given to the “Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Most of the time, we prefer to be called LDS but calling us a “Mormon” is okay to do. What we do not want you to think, for a second, is that we do not follow Jesus Christ and live by his teachings. Our message is a unique one given to the world. We talk of Prophets and Apostles as was mentioned of old… we speak of revelation… but what we DEFINITELY do have is a different culture that defines us as Latter-day Saints. From our fascination with Jello deserts to a “once a week” family night that we call Family Home Evening, some could look at us as a bit quirky.
It is our hope that all will want to be friends with us and give us a chance to tell you what we believe. There is plenty of hearsay, quotes that are taken out of context, and our own church doctrine being explained by others not of our faith. Whether their assessment is what they truly believe or not, let US give it a shot to explain what we believe. Get your information, “From the Horses Mouth.” so to speak.
There be many who would like to assume that role and presume to know all about us. As members of the church, it is our pleasure to share with you our thoughts on Christ and why we believe the things that we do. It is our prayer that you will put your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus to discover our message and that it comes from God.

History of the Church, Vol. 4, pp. 535—541
1 We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adams transgression.
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
Challenged by one man from the audience, Pastor Sjöberg is asked if he truly believe in Jesus as God and the Son of God, and if he truly believe that the Bible he is holding in his hand is the words of God then it wouldn’t be a problem for the pastor, according to Mark 16:18, to drink poison because it won’t harm him since the Pastor’s faith is real and because the Bible says it won’t kill him.
It showed that Pastor Stanley’s faith was too weak to accept the challenge or he also has doubts about if his Bible really contains the truth.

Haile Selassie was asked if he is Jesus Christ many times and he always answered NO. The reason for this is His Majesty is King of Kings and Lord of Lords The Almighty. Therefore Haile Selassie is the Father and not the Son. God and his Prophet are two people, they are not the same person John 8:17-18.

1265 Baptism not only purifies from all sins, but also makes the neophyte “a new creature,” an adopted son of God, who has become a “partaker of the divine nature,”69 member of Christ and co-heir with him,70 and a temple of the Holy Spirit.71
1266 The Most Holy Trinity gives the baptized sanctifying grace, the grace of justification:
- enabling them to believe in God, to hope in him, and to love him through the theological virtues;
- giving them the power to live and act under the prompting of the Holy Spirit through the gifts of the Holy Spirit;
- allowing them to grow in goodness through the moral virtues.
Thus the whole organism of the Christian’s supernatural life has its roots in Baptism.
Incorporated into the Church, the Body of Christ
1267 Baptism makes us members of the Body of Christ: “Therefore . . . we are members one of another.”72 Baptism incorporates us into the Church. From the baptismal fonts is born the one People of God of the New Covenant, which transcends all the natural or human limits of nations, cultures, races, and sexes: “For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body.”73
1268 The baptized have become “living stones” to be “built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood.”74 By Baptism they share in the priesthood of Christ, in his prophetic and royal mission. They are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, that [they] may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called [them] out of darkness into his marvelous light.”75 Baptism gives a share in the common priesthood of all believers.
1269 Having become a member of the Church, the person baptized belongs no longer to himself, but to him who died and rose for us.76 From now on, he is called to be subject to others, to serve them in the communion of the Church, and to “obey and submit” to the Church’s leaders,77 holding them in respect and affection.78 Just as Baptism is the source of responsibilities and duties, the baptized person also enjoys rights within the Church: to receive the sacraments, to be nourished with the Word of God and to be sustained by the other spiritual helps of the Church.79
1270 “Reborn as sons of God, [the baptized] must profess before men the faith they have received from God through the Church” and participate in the apostolic and missionary activity of the People of God.80
The sacramental bond of the unity of Christians
1271 Baptism constitutes the foundation of communion among all Christians, including those who are not yet in full communion with the Catholic Church: “For men who believe in Christ and have been properly baptized are put in some, though imperfect, communion with the Catholic Church. Justified by faith in Baptism, [they] are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers by the children of the Catholic Church.”81 “Baptism therefore constitutes the sacramental bond of unity existing among all who through it are reborn.”82

As for they that accept the mark of the beast and have rejected God’s love and mercy, here is their future. Jesus of the Bible: Jesus of Nazareth interacted with many people during His sojourn on earth; these people saw Him in a variety of ways. He foretold the future when He spoke of the destruction of Jerusalem. “When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near. Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city. For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written” (Luke 21:20-22). This event took place later on in history in the year A.D. 70. He, in turn, spoke forth the truths of God when He spoke to the disciples and the crowds is His well-known Sermon on the Mount. “Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them. . .” (Matthew 5:1-2). When Jesus’ friend Lazarus died, Jesus went to the tomb. “When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come out!’ The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face. Jesus said to them, ‘Take off the grave clothes and let him go’” (John 11:43-44). Jesus had power over death. Not only did Jesus manifest power over sickness and death, He also had power over the elements. When the storm raged while Jesus was with His disciples in the boat, He spoke to the sea. “He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, ‘Quiet! Be still!’ Then the wind died down and it was completely calm” (Mark 4:39). No mere prophet possessed all of these supernatural powers. Ultimately, all of the signs that Jesus performed pointed to the fact that He is indeed God. Only God could take authority over sickness, death, and the elements as He did. Jesus Christ was the promised Messiah, God come to earth in human form. When Jesus had continued to talk to the Samaritan woman, He told her who He was. “The woman said, ‘I know that Messiah’ [called Christ] ‘is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.’ Then Jesus declared, ‘I who speak to you am he’” (John 4:25-26).
Jesus of Quran: Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet along with Moses and Muhammad and that He was born of a virgin mother. The Qur’an relates how the angel Gabriel came to Mary and told her she would have “the gift of a pure son.” Muslims believe Jesus was able to speak while still in the cradle and that he performed many miracles, including giving sight to the blind, curing lepers, and bringing the dead to life. But all these things they believe were done BY God, rather than believing Jesus is God.

Mohammed grew up in a Fulani tribe and started rearing cattle when he was six years old. He did this for almost 10 years until he went to an Arabic school to study the Quran. Prior to this, Mohammed had learned about Islam from his father.
After several years of schooling, he returned home. One night he had a frightening dream. He saw people along the roadside who were suffering. He entered a gate and people took him and beat him. Then he was locked in a room that was very hot. It was so hot that his flesh began to peel off his body. As he began screaming and trying to kick the door open, he woke up. He couldnt sleep for the rest of the night.
The next night, he had another dream. This time he was on a different road and he saw decaying bodies. He came to the same gate, was beaten and taken to the same room. His flesh was melting off his body when a man dressed in white appeared. Suddenly, the room became cold and the people who were beating him disappeared. The man stretched his hand out and held Mohammeds hand, saying, My son, what are you doing here? Do you want me to take you home? Mohammed says, Within a second I was back home and he said to me, I love you, my son. He continued to have dreams but was no longer scared.
Mohammed went to meet a Christian acquaintance to tell him about this dream. This friend introduced him to some young men from another church and they led Mohammed to Christ. He told his parents that he was now a Christian. After several months, Mohammeds father forced him to drink poison. He ordered men in the village to surround Mohammed so he couldnt escape. Interestingly, two days earlier Jesus had appeared to Mohammed and told him that whatever difficulties he faced, He would make a way for him. Mohammed asked his father if he could pray before he swallowed the poison. He prayed, swallowed the poison, and went to bed. The next morning, to his fathers dismay, Mohammed was still alive. Later, his family tried to kill him by shooting him with a poisoned arrow. He spent a month in the hospital, but he survived this experience as well.
After these attempts to end his life, his family tried other tactics to persuade him to leave Christianity. His father gave him a hundred cows and told him he could have three wives if he were to abandon the Christian faith. Eventually, Mohammed made his choice but it was to leave the family home. He thanked his father for the cows and the offer of three wives and said, You still have not met the needs that Jesus promised to meet. If you promise and agree to meet those needs, fine. Do you have means of giving me life forever? His father said no. Mohammed told his father since he couldnt provide eternal life, there was no way that he could leave Jesus Christ.

Challenged by one man from the audience, Pastor Sjöberg is asked if he truly believe in Jesus as God and the Son of God, and if he truly believe that the Bible he is holding in his hand is the words of God then it wouldn’t be a problem for the pastor, according to Mark 16:18, to drink poison because it won’t harm him since the Pastor’s faith is real and because the Bible says it won’t kill him.
