			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>For millennium&#8217;s man has believed in gods. Since the existence of man we have always believed in some sort of higher being. This is a fact.</p>
<p>As you probably already know there are lots of different religions that all believe in that different gods. All of these gods represent different meanings.</p>
<p>Shouldn&#8217;t the fact that our world is divided to believe in different Gods add to the proof that there is no God at all. Surely if there was a God then we would all believe in the same one as would be the wishes of the higher being.</p>
<p>One reason why people follow religion is because it provides a way for them to live a good life. And it brings communities together.</p>
<p>However on the opposite side there are a lot of religious people that do not like anyone outside of their religion which causes tension in communities.</p>
<p>There has been so much proof from science that there is absolutely no existence of god. But it&#8217;s strange that because there is so much proof against god and no proof that there is a god this seems to make some people&#8217;s belief even stronger. When you would think it would do the opposite.</p>
<p>All religious Christians believe that the Bible is the word of god but how can this be true when the Bible was written by men. There is no doubt that the Bible was written by man.</p>
<p>Another thing that atheists find funny is the change from the old testament to the new testament. If god is never wrong then how can he be so different in each testament.</p>
<p>The people higher up in religion realised that people were losing faith and decided that something had to be done, so they rewrote the Bible and marketed it as the new testament, and because God&#8217;s much nicer in the new one people suddenly started to jump back on the bandwaggon.</p>
<p>Whether god exists or not is something nobody can say with 100 per cent confidence but we should all live our life as best we can and one day we will find out if god really exists or not.</p>

The majority of of them are ill, several have lost careers, and some are having other troubles. Precisely what they all have in common, though, is that they have either asked for prayer or someone recognized that they needed it.</p>
<p>Even though it is easy to pray for those who are hurting or ill when we are in church, being led by someone else, it is more difficult to remember to pray for these same people when we go home.</p>
<p>Prayer on behalf of others is an essential component of a Christian&#8217;s prayer life. When we pray for others, we are able to get our minds off ourselves and have compassion for someone else. In addition, letting someone know you are praying for them is a powerful boost to them. <p>We can&#8217;t always know the outcome of our prayers when we pray to God on behalf of others. Sometimes, we get to see the power of prayer in action when someone close to us is healed or finds a job but often, we will never know the outcome. While that can be frustrating, it is still important to pray for others. When possible, let them know you are praying for them because this can boost the spirits of someone who is hurting or sick. It lets them know that people care. Everyone needs encouragement and by dropping someone a card and letting them know we are praying for them, we can offer them hope and encouragement.</p>
<p>Have you ever thought of keeping a prayer journal? This is a powerful testimony to the power of prayer and it can also serve as a reminder to pray for someone we may not have prayed for in a while.</p>
<p>This can also function as personal support as we witness prayer after prayer being answered. Just writing down who you are praying for can serve as a reminder to drop a card in the mail or give them a call to see how they are doing. Prayer is powerful and praying for others is a necessary and powerful way to use our prayer time.</p>

<p>It depends on the kind of person. In this regard, you can find two types of people in the world: individuals for whom isolation may be the worst fate, and individuals whose inner life is rich enough to withstand even isolation.</p>
<p>Needless to say, the overwhelming vast majority of humanity belong to the former category.</p>
<p>That&#8217;s why the worst possible punishment in the Bible was not death, but exile &#8211; isolation. Despite the &#8220;eye for an eye and tooth for a tooth&#8221; nature of the Old Testament, the first punishment ever meted out by God was for murder, and the punishment was nothing more than exile.</p>
<p>&#8220;Nothing more&#8221; to our sensibilities, perhaps, which could easily imagine much more draconian measures, but a profound psychological truth is revealed here: Much more than anything else, a man cannot stand to be ignored. And God&#8217;s punishment for Cain, who murdered his brother Abel, was to wander the earth with a mark that warned other people to avoid him.</p>
<p>It was, in effect, a prison without walls.</p>
<p>Isolation, exile, being ignored &#8211; they sound like relatively easy fates, but they&#8217;re the hardest to bear simply because human beings are social creatures who need to interact with other people, and it pains us all the more to not only be unable to socialize but to be deliberately ostracized, too. To be shunned by others makes us really feel poor about ourselves.</p>
<p>That is the worst fate, to feel bad about yourself. Those with a truly rich inner life are usually exempt from this fate. Indeed, many spiritual seekers deliberately isolate themselves, generally for years &#8211; but then again, there is always the danger of insanity, too. For several a wild-eyed holy man has come down from the mountains or out of empty wastes to proclaim God&#8217;s revenge.</p>

<p>In Genesis 1:1 and Hebrews 1:10-12 the Bible is unequivocal that the universe had a beginning. When the Bible was written many people believed the universe was eternal. Starting with the studies of Albert Einstein in the early 1900&#8242;s and continuing still today, science has confirmed the biblical view that the universe had a beginning.</p>
<p>The universe is always expanding (Job 9:8; Isaiah 42:5; Jeremiah 51:15; Zechariah 12:1). Repeatedly God declares that he stretches out the heavens. During the early 20th century, most scientists (including Einstein) believed the universe was static. Others believed it oscillated and would eventually collapse due to gravity.</p>
<p>Then in 1929, astronomer Edwin Hubble showed that distant galaxies were receding from the earth. This discovery revolutionized the field of astronomy. Einstein admitted his error, and today most astronomers agree with what the Creator told us a millennium ago that the universe is expanding. Job 36:27 asks how the rain drops stay small (That is despite or even in strong wind) One of the reasons is found in Psalm 135:5-7.</p>
<p>Because of the electrical charges in the clouds, the rain drops repel each other as they fall. This is why electrical static during a rain or snow storm can interrupt transmissions. Ezekiel 5:5, 38:12 claimed that Jerusalem is the center of the earth.</p>
<p>ICR commissioned a computer analysis of the earth&#8217;s land-masses and discovered that the geographic center is in Palestine, near the holy city. Psalm 103:12 The Psalmist seeks to describe how far away God has removed the sins of those who have been forgiven.</p>
<p>Interestingly, one can go west or east forever, unlike north and south. Hebrews 1:11-12 describes the wearing down of the creation in language that nicely mirrors the second law of thermodynamics and II Peter 3:12 describes the heavens one day passing away in a fire that causes the elements to melt in fervent heat (a pretty accurate description of nuclear meltdown).</p>
<p>Ecclesiastes 1:4-7 describes the whirling motion of the winds and the movement of storm fronts long before the advent of modern meteorology. Job 37:16 also gives significant meteorological information, including the balancing of the vapors in the clouds. Job 36:27 adds that the quantity of the rain is proportional to the amount of vapor aloft. Job 26:7</p>
<p>The ancients Greeks believed that the world was held up by Atlas. Other civilizations held similar ideas. The Bible made an unusual claim: God did not hang the world on anything. Psalm 8:8 discusses the &#8220;paths of the seas.</p>

He later sought to confirm the idea and eventually wrote The Physical Geography of the Sea in 1855. It was the first textbook on modern oceanography.</p>
<p>The state of Virginia erected a memorial to him that cites this passage. Isaiah 40:22, some people have claimed that the Bible supports the &#8220;flat earth theory.&#8221; But this passage declares that God sits upon the &#8220;circle of the earth.&#8221; Job 38:13-14 conveys the idea of the earth rotating on its axis: &#8220;the earth&#8230;is turned as clay to the seal.&#8221; In Luke 17:34-36 the worldwide event of Christ&#8217;s return is being discussed.</p>
<p>The scientifically significant fact is that these verses allude to the various time zones around the world long before the earth&#8217;s rotation was understood by scientists. Note that when Christ comes, some will be enjoying night time sleep while others are working in preparation for the day&#8217;s baking (typically morning) and others are working in the field (typically afternoon).</p>
<p>One of the directors of Standard Oil Company read in Exodus 2:3 how Moses was placed in an ark &#8220;daubed with slime and pitch.&#8221; He then sent the company geologist Charles Whitshott to determine if there was still oil in that region.</p>
<p>The discovery of oil led to Standard having immense success well operations in Egypt. (Tan, Paul L., Encyclopedia of 7700 Illustrations, p. 191.) The practice of medical bleeding as a treatment (often with leeches) was common until the middle of the 19th century.</p>
<p>Historians believe that George Washington&#8217;s bleeding caused his death. (Thayer, William R., George Washington, 1922, p. 240) Ironically, by his bedside was a Bible that stated in Leviticus 17:11 &#8220;For the life of the flesh is in the blood.&#8221; Linguists have determined that all the earth&#8217;s peoples must have originally shared a common language.</p>
<p>That is exactly what the Bible declared in Genesis 11:1. The concept of embodied in the laws of thermodynamics: the constant of the universe&#8217;s mass/energy and the universal tendency towards decay and disorder are clearly articulated in Ecclesiastes 3:14 and Romans 8:21-22.</p>
<p>Jonah wrote that there are mountains on the bottom of the ocean floor (Jonah 2:5-6). Only in the last century have we found that there are towering mountains and deep troughs in the sea. In Job 38:16 God challenged Job to find the &#8220;springs of the sea.&#8221;</p>
<p>But the ocean is so deep that almost all the ocean floor is in total darkness and the water pressure becomes enormous. It would have been impossible for Job to have explored the &#8220;springs of the sea.&#8221;</p>
<p>Until recently, it was thought that oceans were fed only by rivers and rain. Yet in the 1970s, with the help of deep diving research submarines that were built to withstand the pressure, oceanographers found springs on the ocean floors. Much of the Old Testament Leviticus law is comprised of health-related restrictions involving diet, cleansing, and quarantine.</p>

<p>For example, the Bible cautions against consuming fat (Leviticus 7:23). Only in recent decades has the medical community determined that fat clogs arteries and contributes to heart disease. In Leviticus 11 the Scripture commanded Jews to avoid sea creatures which do not have fins or scales.</p>
<p>We now know that bottom feeders (those with no scales or fins) tend to consume waste and are more likely to carry disease. Then the Bible warns against eating birds of prey. Scientists now recognize that those birds which eat carrion (putrefying flesh), often spread disease.</p>
<p>The Bible prohibited the Israelites from eating swine (Deuteronomy 14:8). Not so long ago, science found that eating undercooked pork causes an infection of parasites called trichinosis. When dealing with diseases, the instruction was that clothes and body should be washed under running water (Leviticus 15:13). For centuries people ignorantly washed in standing water. Today we realize the need to wash away germs with fresh water.</p>
<p>The Bible says that life begins at conception (Jeremiah 1:5) and God declares that He knew each of us before we were born (Psalm 139:13-15). In Exodus 21:22-23, the biblical penalty for killing an unborn child was death.</p>
<p>Today, it is an irrefutable biological fact that the fertilized egg is truly an entire human being. Nothing will be added to the first cell except nutrition and oxygen. The Bible commanded circumcision of baby Jewish boys on the eighth day. (See Genesis 17:12; Leviticus 12:3; Luke 1:59).</p>
<p>Medical science has found that the blood clotting chemical prothrombin peaks in a newborn on the eighth day. This is therefore the safest day to circumcise a baby. Moses did not know this, but God who knows all and created all things certainly did. Wise pest-control procedures are given in Leviticus 25:1-24.</p>
<p>Modern farmers are still plagued by multiplying insects. Yet God gave a sure remedy to control these pests centuries ago. Moses commanded Israel to set aside one year in seven when no crops were raised.</p>
<p>Insects winter in the stalks of last year&#8217;s harvest, hatch in the spring, and are perpetuated by laying eggs in the new crop. If the crop is denied one year in seven, the pests are controlled and it also promotes soil conservation.</p>
<p>When Noah was instructed to build the huge barge that would preserve his family and two of each kind of land creature, the Lord specified for him the perfect dimensions for a stable water vessel (Genesis 6:15).</p>
<p>Ship builders today are well aware that the ideal dimension for ship stability is to have the length about six times that of the width. And Dr. Werner Gitt demonstrated that the ark had the perfect dimensions to optimize both stability and economy of material. Yet God gave Noah these perfect dimensions over four thousand and five hundred years ago.</p>
<p>Recently there have been articles published claiming that the human rib is the only bone that has been shown to grow back. It is no coincidence that this is the bone God took from Adam. A strong case has even been made that science has flourished to unprecedented levels when in times of strong scriptural beliefs.</p>

<p>If you have not heard the Gospel and believed it by being baptized in the name of Jesus, this would be an excellent time to do so. The verses and checklists to follow should help the reader look within his heart for the start of the knot, and then look up to God for the unraveling.</p>
<p>The bible is a sealed book. Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it is sealed. Isaiah 29:10, 11 * Man&#8217;s sin casts a shadow which darkens his understanding of each verse. None of the wicked shall understand. Daniel 12:10 Even man&#8217;s mind cannot penetrate the deep, dark shadow which blackens &#8216;the book&#8217;. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. I Corinthians 2:14 * There is a way of understanding the bible and that way is Jesus Christ. Only the LORD give thee wisdom and understanding.</p>
<p>1) New Heart</p>
<p>I Chronicles 22:12 When we receive Jesus Christ as our Saviour as shown by our baptism in his name, he gives us a new heart and the Spirit of God dwells in us. Have you obeyed Acts 2:38?</p>
<p>Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 8:12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord. Acts 10:36 The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:) Matthew 18:16 But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 2 Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you.</p>

<p>Do you pray before you study the bible? If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God. James 1:5 3 Read and hear Are your senses (seeing and hearing) saturated with the bible, or are they filled with other things such as television, videos, radio, books, newspapers, magazines, or gossip?</p>
<p>Wisdom [the scriptures] is before him that hath understanding; but the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth. [TV, magazines, catalogues, etc.] Proverbs 17:24 Do you attend a truth preaching church regularly, to hear those whom God has given the ministry of teaching?</p>
<p>And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. Jeremiah 3:15 Do the teachers you hear (church, media, books) gain their understanding of the scriptures from following God&#8217;s criteria or man&#8217;s (Trinity, traditions, consensus)? He that followeth vain persons is void of understanding?</p>
<p>4) Seek</p>
<p>Proverbs 12:11 Do you pursue an understanding of the bible daily? I am understanding&#8230;those that seek me early shall find me&#8230;Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates. Proverbs 8:14, 17, 34</p>
<p>5) Delight</p>
<p>How do you delight yourself? Are your delights related to the flesh or the spirit? Self or God? His delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. Psalm 1:2</p>
<p>6) Memorize and Meditate</p>
<p>Do you think about scripture verses you have memorized or do you think about other things? I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation. Psalm 119:99</p>
<p>7) Obey</p>
<p>Do you obey the light God has already given you? Do you think he will give you more understanding if you do not follow that which he has already shown you? I understand more than the ancients, because I keep thy precepts. Psalm 119:100 Have you allowed sin to enter in your life and separate you from the Lord? Yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth. Daniel 9:13</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The number seven is considered to be a lucky number. In Bible terms, it means perfection or spiritual completion. Seven is utilized seven hundred and thirty-five times in the Bible. Seventh is found one hundred and nineteen times and sevenfold is mentioned six times. It is utilized fifty-four times alone in the Book of Revelations.</p>
<p>In Revelations 10:7 we read, &#8220;In the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound the mystery of God should be finished.&#8221; The word finished is also connected with the number seven. &#8220;And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne saying, It is done.&#8221; &#8220;It is done&#8221; is another expression found in connection with the number Seven.</p>
<p>(Revelation 16:17) In the Book of Revelations the number seven is utilized throughout the pages. There are seven churches, seven Spirits, seven stars, seven seals, seven trumpets, seven vials, seven personages, seven dooms, and seven new things. Seven times in the Book of Revelation blessing of the Lord are promised to His people. These are called the Beattitudes of Revelation.</p>
<p>These are found in Chapters 1:3; 14:13; 16:15; 19:9; 20:6; 22:7, 14. There are seven notes in the musical scale. All other pitches are only variations of these. When the musician uses the eighth note he goes back to &#8220;do&#8221; and starts over. Man named the notes but God ordered the sounds, even as God made the days of the week, and Adam named them. The whole Word of God is founded upon the number seven.</p>
<p>All areas of nature are marked all over with mathematics. In this realm practically everything is in sevens. Check next time the shape of frost when it crystallizes on the window. Check the small snow flakes. It is wonderful how God formed everything in a pattern of sevens. Life operates in a cycle of sevens.</p>
<p>Modifications take place in the body every seven years. There are seven bones in the neck and in the face. There also are seven bones in the ankle, and seven holes in the head. Most births are multiple of sevens. The hen sits three weeks (twenty-one days); the pigeon two weeks (fourteen days); after having laid eggs for two weeks. Of one hundred 129 species of Mammalia, the majority have a period from conception to birth of an exact number of weeks by a multiple of seven. Human physiology is constructed on a law of sevens.</p>
<p>Children are born to mothers in a certain number of weeks usually two hundred and eighty days, a multiple of sevens. Fevers and intermittent attacks of gout, ague, and similar complaints have a period of operation of seven, fourteen, or twenty days. These are known as the critical days.</p>
<p>In Leviticus 23:15-16, the number seven and the Sabbath, which was the seventh day, is connected with the word complete. The word complete follows after the words seven Sabbath (Seventh day). The day following the seventh Sabbath there was something new that took place.</p>
<p>The word created is utilized seven times in connection with God&#8217;s creative work. (Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:21; 1:27 (three times); 2:3; and 2:4). God created all things in the beginning and then took six days of restoring His creation and then rested on the seventh day. (Genesis 2:1-3). He appointed seven days for the week.</p>
<p>The seventh time Noah&#8217;s name occurs is where it is indicated, &#8220;Noah was a just man, and perfect in his generations.&#8221; (Genesis 6:9) Noah took the clean beasts into the ark by sevens (Genesis 7:2). Seven days after Noah went into the ark the flood came. (Genesis 7:-10) Peter tells about the long-suffering of God waiting in the days of Noah. (I Peter 3:21) Those seven days completed God&#8217;s time of waiting. Job had seven sons.</p>
<p>When his friends came to visit him they sat seven days and seven nights in silence, and afterward they were required to offer a Burnt Offering of seven bullocks and seven rams. There were seven good and seven famine years in Egypt. (Genesis 41) Seven days the waters turn to blood. (Exodus 7:25) When Israel took the city of Jericho God told them to march around the city seven times. Thus, on the seventh day, when they marched around the city seven times and then they finished their marching. (Joshua 6:1-16) There were seven feast days of our Lord. These are as what follows &#8211; Passover, Unleavened, First-fruits, Pentecost, Atonement, Trumpets and Tabernacle. (Leviticus 23:1-44) There were seven branches on the candlestick in the Holy Place in the Tabernacle and this pictures the complete light of God for the souls of man.</p>
<p>Before Aaron and his sons entered their priestly work they were consecrated seven days. (Leviticus 8:31-36) Here is a picture of a life fully or completely consecrated or dedicated to the Lord for service. On the Day of Atonement the high priest sprinkled the blood upon the mercy seat seven times. (Leviticus 16:14) This is a picture of the completeness of the redemptive work of Christ. &#8220;By his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.&#8221; (Hebrews 9:12) When Christ offered Himself that finished the sacrificial offerings. They were ended.</p>
<p>No longer must we place sacrifices upon an altar as Christ did it all at Calvary on the cross. Solomon was seven years in building the Temple and kept the Feast for seven days. Naaman washed (A type of baptism) seven times in the Jordan and was made whole. (2 Kings 5:1-15) Even the duration of Israel&#8217;s great punishments was based upon this law of sevens. Their captivity in Babylon was for seventy years, ten periods of sevens. (Jeremiah 25:11-12 and Daniel l9:2) In the second chapter of Daniel, Nebuchadnezzar had a dream of a great image whose head was of gold, arms and breasts of silver, his belly and things of brass, legs of iron, and feet of iron and clay.</p>
<p>(Daniel 2:31-33) Daniel told him that he was the head of gold (versus 37-38) In the next chapter Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold to be worshipped. At that time he called together seven kinds of officials to the dedication of the image: (1) princes, (2) governors, (3) captains, (4) judges, (5) treasurers (6) counselors, (7) sheriffs. The penalty for refusing to worship that image was death by being cast into the burning fiery furnace. Three Hebrew children refused to worship the image and were cast into that furnace of death, and brought forth alive, thus picturing the resurrection, signified by the number three. That furnace was heated seven times hotter than it had ever been.</p>
<p>Here is a complete deliverance of God&#8217;s people from the power of death. (Daniel 3:1-27) When those three Hebrew children came out of that furnace of fire, or death, there was not a trace of fire upon their bodies or their clothing.</p>
<p>When Christ brings His people out of death there will not be a trace of death left on them. They will be completely delivered from its power. Jesus said to &#8220;forgive seventy times seven&#8221; In other words, He is saying, &#8220;Keep on forgiving until you are complete.&#8221; Seven loaves fed the 4,000, seven baskets are leftover in Matthew 15:32-39. There are seven miracles, seven discourses, and seven &#8220;I am&#8221; statements in the gospel of John.</p>
<p>Jesus spoke seven words from the Cross. Seven men were Deacons in the early church in Acts 6:5. There are seven elements to the &#8220;Armor of God&#8221; in Ephesians. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>You might think that God and science conflict with one another. I did, at one time, but I realized that science is evidence of God. Religion can sometimes cloud the truth. Science without God is lame (in the literal sense), and God without science is blind. You don&#8217;t have to ignore science to believe in God (including the Biblical God).</p>
<p>Some of the smartest people in the world believe in God. Albert Einstein believed in God, and so do 40% of the worlds most influential modern scientists. In fact that percentage might actually be higher, because that percentage is based on scientists that said that they believe in a &#8220;Personal God&#8221;.</p>
<p>There are many conditions that seem to be a little too perfect for life to exist on our planet. Earth exists in what is called the &#8220;goldilocks zone&#8221;. It exists at the perfect distance from the Sun. The planets in our solar system circle the Sun in mostly centric paths, which is unique to our solar system for now, and it is at least rare from what we have observed.</p>
<p><strong>Planet Earth Among The Size Of The Universe</strong></p>
<p>The Milky Way galaxy is composed of between 180 &#8211; 300 billion stars (varies from source to source). Our Sun is just one of those stars! Of all of the billions of stars in our galaxy, it is estimated that at least 6 billion of them could have Earth-like planets around them.</p>
<p>So far we have been unsuccessful at locating another solar system that could develop intelligent life as we know it, but we have just began looking. Science shows us that the Universe as we know it now is about 15 billion years old. We know that, because we can reverse the rate at which other galaxies are moving away from us. It is hard to imagine what that amount of time means.</p>
<p>Generally known as one of the most influential theoretical physicists of our time, Stephen Hawking, has said that God could not be ruled out as the cause of the universe as we know it. He prefers to leave faith out of science altogether. Prof. Stephen Hawking believes that God is a possibility at least, but does not believe in a personal God &#8211; a God that communicates spiritually with us and has a plan for our lives.</p>
<p><strong>Can God Communicate To Us?</strong></p>
<p>God speaks to our spirits, if we seek Him with an open heart and mind. Science cannot prove nor disprove the spiritual world, but when we rely on science for the answers to everything, we start to believe that it can provide them.</p>
<p>If you truly seek the answers to the big questions in life, why rule God out. When you seek life&#8217;s answers with God&#8217;s guidance, everything becomes clear. This life is about choosing or denying God. God&#8217;s ultimate perfect creation has yet to be seen.</p>

<p>Baptism is &#8220;accepting&#8221; Christ (on His terms, not ours) Baptism is when our sins are forgiven. Baptism is when we receive the Holy Spirit. Baptism is how and when we come into contact with the blood of Christ. Baptism is when we are reborn. Baptism is an act of faith. Baptism is how we enter the kingdom of God. Baptism is when we are added to the body of Christ (the church). Baptism is when we exchange our life for His. Baptism is when we die to ourselves and come alive in Christ. Baptism is the washing of regeneration, and renewal of the Holy Spirit.</p>
<p>Baptism is the beginning of a race of a new life. Baptism is proclaiming in Christ the resurrection of the dead. Baptism is when the old dies and the new arises. In this manner we become saved. Baptism is the point in time when we become saved. Baptism is when we stop living for ourselves and start living for Jesus. Baptism is how and when we scripturally make a conscious decision to dedicate our lives to Christ.</p>
<p>Baptism is how we scripturally enter into a relationship with Christ. Baptism is the gavel striking the bench proclaiming forgiveness of sins, the end of the old and the birth of the new. Baptism is required to gain the spirit. John 3:5 Baptism is for the forgiveness of sins. Acts 2:38 Baptism now saves us. 1 Peter 3:21 Baptism is by faith. Mark 16:16</p>
<p>Baptism washes away our sins. Acts 22:16 Baptism gives us new life. Romans 6:1-6 Baptism puts on Christ. Galatians 3:27 Baptism believes in the operation of God. Colossians 2:12 Baptism is similar to the Israelites coming up out of the land of slavery, passing through the Red Sea and entering the Promised Land. Baptism can be similar to passing through the flood of Noah.</p>
<p>Baptism is about leaving our old sinful, worldly ways behind and taking upon our shoulders the yoke of Christ. It is about lifestyle change and dying to ourselves and doing God&#8217;s will instead of ours. Our reason and purpose for living changes after baptism. Afterward is a new way of life.</p>
<p>Baptism is about heart, faith, total commitment, surrender, self-denial, death, resurrection, repentance, and seeking God&#8217;s mercy through Jesus Christ; and the work he did on that cross at Calvary over 2000 years ago.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>When I first began attending 12 step meetings a little over 20+ years ago, I was told that I could redefine my Higher Power. I was assured that I could make him anything that I desired.</p>
<p>This was a great thing to discover because at that time in my life, the diety of my childhood was not very nice.</p>
<p>I won&#8217;t say that I was instructed about a punishing God. But, I will unlike what I was taught.</p>
<p>A large part of this &#8216;education&#8217; included things concerning self esteem and self confidence.</p>
<p>So, when I found out that my God could be redefined, it was a huge relief. I was able to define my God as very Compassionate and that cared for me no matter what. I heard a person say that his God &#8220;knew what I was doing and loved me while I did it&#8221;.</p>
<p>I think that a number of us have been taught &#8220;to act as if God is watching, because he is&#8221;. And, if this was the case, I was in bad difficulty because of some of the acts I had performed while growing up.</p>
<p>Now that I did not have to be concerned about being cast into the &#8220;depths of Hell&#8221; for what I had done in my youth, I was able to begin living a good life.</p>
<p>So, if you have a God that is not Kind, the best thing for you to do is to sit down and create a &#8220;designer God&#8221;.</p>
<p>I do not intend to be flippant about this but you need to have a God that is loving if you are going to have a good life.</p>
<p>We do not want to be &#8220;looking over our shoulder&#8221; to make certain that our &#8220;punishing God&#8221; is not breathing down our neck.</p>
<p>Life is too short to be lived running from a God of our parents. It is time to define a God for you that is caring and loving.</p>
<p>I have heard it said that our only problem in life is our &#8220;sensed separation from God&#8221;. That separation is very easy to imagine if the God of your definition is punishing and mean.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In an article someone wrote, &#8220;There is nothing that can be added to bring salvation to a soul. &#8220;Grace,&#8221; he wrote, &#8220;wrought salvation with no strings attached.&#8221; In another article another person declared. &#8220;Grace plus nothing equal salvation.&#8221;</p>
<p>Is this biblical? Have these people gone farther than the Scriptures go? Must not the recipient of salvation take some corresponding action in response to grace? If there is nothing that one can do, or if no response is necessary, what about the scriptural passages that call for action?</p>
<p>When guilty sinners asked, &#8220;Men and brethren what shall we do?&#8221; the Apostle Peter replied, &#8220;Repent and be baptized everyone of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins&#8221; .&#8221; (Acts 2:37-38). When Saul of Tarsus inquired, &#8220;Lord, what wilt thou have me do?&#8221; the Lord answered, &#8220;Go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do&#8221;. He was baptized by Ananias later according to his faith (Acts 9:6-18). After a devastating earthquake, while springing into the crumbled ruins of the prison in an attempt to take his own life, the Philippian jailer heard the voice of Paul call out, &#8220;Do thyself no harm, for we are all here.&#8221; He was sure his prisoners would be gone. When he discovered them yet present, he turned to Paul and Silas and cried out, &#8220;Sirs, what must I do to be saved?&#8221; Their answer was, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved and thy house&#8221;. Thereafter, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:25-33).</p>
<p>In each of these scriptural incidents, action was demanded of the inquirer. The first was, &#8220;Repent&#8221;; the second, &#8220;Go; the third, &#8220;Believe and be baptized.&#8221; All three called for action of the will. A command was issued in each instance. It was not Grace plus nothing equals salvation.&#8221; It was grace plus faith plus obedience equals salvation&#8221; or &#8220;Grace plus obedient faith equals salvation.&#8221;</p>
<p>Grace is God&#8217;s Act</p>
<p>Grace is the unmerited, undeserved favor of God bestowed on a person through the atoning sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ. Grace is the source of salvation. Grace means that God initiates salvation. It includes every act on God&#8217;s part that brought salvation to mankind. God&#8217;s grace caused Him to manifest Himself in flesh as Jesus Christ, assume limitations, freely give Himself on Calvary and arise on the third day for our justification. God Alone is the Source of Salvation.</p>
<p>Salvation was initiated in heaven as God&#8217;s plan. Man was not counseled concerning it. In fact, man had nothing to do with its institution other than being the object of it.</p>
<p>God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16). God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us. . . (Ephesians 2:4). For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye through His poverty might be rich (II Corinthians 8:9). From these verses the role of grace in salvation is evident&#8212;grace initiates salvation.</p>
<p>Faith and Obedience are Man&#8217;s Response</p>
<p>Faith takes God&#8217;s grace, mercy and kindness and appropriates it to an individuals own life. &#8220;For by grace are ye saved through faith&#8221; (Ephesians 2:8).</p>
<p>Faith is the agency in the heart of a man that receives the message of God&#8217;s great grace, applies grace to his own condition, and sees a way out of his lost state. In other words, faith appropriates salvation.</p>
<p>Obedience steps upon the scene and becomes the active agent, motivating one to act on what grace has provided and faith appropriated. Actually we can view obedience as included in true biblical faith and not something apart from it. Since many people think of faith as merely mental assent, we must stress that saving faith does involve obedience. At least nineteen passages in the New Testament adjure obedience to salvation. In summary, obedience activates salvation.</p>
<p>And we are witnesses of these things; and so also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey Him. (Acts 5:32).</p>
<p>But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered unto you. (Romans 6:17).</p>
<p>He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey Him (Hebrews 5:9).</p>
<p>The truth about salvation can be illustrated by a checking account. The account in the bank is the source of money and corresponds to grace. The act of cashing the check represents obedience.</p>
<p>Let us suppose someone wants to give you a donation of one million dollars. He writes a check for that amount and instructs you to cash it. It is yours; you have the check in your hands. But the money is still in the bank and not in your hands until you cash the check.</p>
<p>Your act of cashing the check is the required obedience, and this obedient response is needed if you are to enjoy the benefits of the bank account and check. If you do not act, the bank retains the money in the donor&#8217;s account and you do not get it! So it is with God. The donor is God, the check is faith, and obedience cashes the check. So get that check cashed in the name of Jesus!</p>
<p>The doctrine referred to in Romans 6:17 is experienced earlier in that chapter. Romans 5:20-21 depicts the wonderful grace of God that always abounds more than sin and leads to eternal life. Then Romans 6:1-7 describes the means by which grace is applied. Specifically, the Roman Christians died to sin, were baptized into Jesus Christ, thereby being baptized into His death and being buried with Him in baptism, and arose to walk in newness of life.</p>
<p>In other words, they obeyed the command to repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. This experience identified them with Christ&#8217;s death, burial and resurrection, thereby bringing to them the abounding grace of God&#8217;s provision. Their obedience, which was faith in action, was the channel through which they received God&#8217;s grace.</p>
<p>No, it is not &#8220;Grace + 0 = Salvation.&#8221; Rather, &#8220;Grace + Faith + Obedience = Salvation.&#8221; If a person does not obey, then he does not truly believe, and if he does not believe then he has not received the grace of God. Acts 2:41 depicts the proper attitude that we must have towards the revelation of God&#8217;s grace: &#8220;Then they that gladly received His word were baptized: and the same day were added unto them about three thousand souls.&#8221;</p>
<p>After hearing about the grace of God, the crowd believed by receiving Peter&#8217;s word and immediately obeyed by being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Likewise Saul immediately obeyed when Ananias told him what to do (Acts 9:17-18;22:16), and the Philippian jailer obeyed after Paul and Silas had explained the way of salvation to him (Acts 16:31-34).</p>
<p>Obedience is the criterion of faith. We must respond in obedient faith to receive the grace of God in our lives. We must not be misled into thinking that no response on our part is necessary for us to be saved. We must obey God&#8217;s word. We must believe and obey the message preached by the apostles and received by the crowd on the Day of Pentecost: &#8220;Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost &#8221; (Acts 2:38).</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What is spiritual warfare? Spiritual warfare is a battle for our souls. It is also the struggle for power, either by demons attempting to ensnare and oppress men and women, or the spirits of God setting them free.</p>
<p>This war affects nations, groups of people, families and individuals. Luke 17:20-21 states, &#8220;The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.&#8221;</p>
<p>What it means is the after our baptism by belief, like Jesus, we receive the kingdom of God within us or what is commonly called the Holy Ghost and Comforter. We receive what the world (which remains in sin) cannot neither see, touch, nor hear.</p>
<p>Also our enemies are invisible. Because one cannot see, hear, or touch the enemy, many people want do not believe there is one. Like it or not, and believe it or not, Satan&#8217;s armies are on active duty twenty-four hours a day whether you and I believe it or not. So let us face some realities.</p>
<p>There really are demons who are active attacking mankind and especially the saints in every conceivable way. Jesus warns us all about Satan in the book of John.</p>
<p>&#8220;The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Satan (who is a thief and liar, in fact the father of lies) works in a very specific way. He has a set plan as it works very effectively.</p>
<p>When we look carefully then we will realize his wicked plans at work all around us. His first strategy mentioned here is to steal. What would the Devil like to steal? Anything and everything that will lead you to Jesus. Satan&#8217;s greatest hope is to steal the word of God that it should not enter into your heart and life. Secondly, the Devil will attempt to kill you both physically and spiritually. Job was spared but the Devil was allowed to kill his many children.</p>
<p>This was in the hope that he could break down Job, causing him to sin. Yet Job remained steadfast or faithful to God. Thirdly, Satan loves to destroy your walk with God. Peter was sifted like wheat. (Basically, after his third denial of Christ and then his viewing of him, he felt ashamed and unworthy of the Lord. Perhaps Satan also wanted him to commit suicide as he convinced Judas Iscariot to do as thus killing him as well).</p>
<p>In other words, the Devil wanted to break him down or apart. But his faith was restored, accordingly as Jesus prayed for it to be so. Besides these strategies Satan is continually accusing man to fellow man, to God, and to himself.</p>
<p>What can we do then? Ephesians 6:10-18 reports that we all need to put on the spiritual armor coupled by prayer in Jesus&#8217; name (In fact all things must be accompanied with that name that&#8217;s above all names, Colossians 3:17) to gain the victory. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.</p>
<p>In doing so, after our intial baptism by belief in his name, we can claim the promises of Christ Jesus. Romans 8:31-37 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God&#8217;s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. A man once faced a million man army that was attacking him and it was defeated by his humble reliance upon God. 2 Chronicles 14:11-12 And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude.</p>
<p>O LORD, thou art our God; let no man prevail against thee. So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled. No matter what the problem is, God has an answer of peace for us when we trust in him. You and I must face the realities of what we must do to be overcome sin this world. One of those realities is that we must resist the devil, and he will flee from us.</p>
<p>If and when you discover that you are engaged in spiritual warfare, the solution is simple. Satan simply has no options when God&#8217;s people act against him in the name of Jesus Christ.</p>
<p>When you invoke the name of Jesus against Satan, he must be bound. Satan&#8217;s powers cannot overcome the power of Jesus Christ. Jesus overcame all the world, the flesh and the devil. So can we when we look to him.</p>
<p>Nothing Satan can do against a true believer in Jesus Christ will have a permanent or everlasting bad effect. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>1) Introduction</p>
<p>As we desire to have more of Jesus and draw closer to Him we need to become like Him. We must walk as He walked, talk as He talked and do the same works as He did. Let us go and look in the Gospels to see what He did and then go and do the same. We must become passionate about Jesus. Our passion for Him must stir us to do the same works He did.</p>
<p>2) Peter&#8217;s Testimony</p>
<p>Let us start in Galilee after the baptism that John preached&#8211; how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. Act 10:37-38</p>
<p>These words come from Peter as he describes the gospel to Cornelius. For three and a half years, Peter was a firsthand witness of the ministry of Jesus and this is the overwhelming impression that the ministry of Jesus left on him. When Peter summarizes the ministry of Jesus, he talks of Jesus healing the sick through the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. In his great sermon on the day of Pentecost, Peter said, &#8220;Men of Israel, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know. (Acts 2:22).</p>
<p>3) Healing The Sick</p>
<p>Healing the sick was the hallmark of Jesus&#8217; ministry. Wherever he went, people brought the sick to him, and he healed them. The Gospels show us that He did this throughout his earthly ministry.</p>
<p>Matthew 4:23-25 Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed, and he healed them. Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him.</p>
<p>Matt. 8:16-17 When evening came, many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: &#8220;He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.&#8221;</p>
<p>Matt. 9:35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.</p>
<p>Mark 1:33-34 The whole town gathered at the door, and Jesus healed many who had various diseases. He also drove out many demons,</p>
<p>Mark 6:56 And wherever he went&#8211;into villages, towns or countryside&#8211;they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak, and all who touched him were healed.</p>
<p>Luke 5:15 Yet the news about him spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear him and to be healed of their sicknesses.</p>
<p>Luke 9:11 but the crowds learned about it and followed him. He welcomed them and spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and healed those who needed healing.</p>
<p>4) Even After Jesus Clears The Temple, He Heals The Sick</p>
<p>Matt. 21:12-14 Jesus entered the temple area and drove out all who were buying and selling there. He overturned the tables of the money changers and the benches of those selling doves. &#8220;It is written,&#8221; he said to them, &#8220;&#8216;My house will be called a house of prayer,&#8217; but you are making it a &#8216;den of robbers.&#8217;&#8221; The blind and the lame came to him at the temple, and he healed them.</p>
<p>After John the Baptist was put in prison, he sent some of his disciples to Jesus to find out whether Jesus was really the Messiah. The reason John did this was that Jesus&#8217; ministry differed so much from his own. Even though the message that Jesus started to preach , &#8220;Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand,&#8221; (Matt 3:2 and 4:17) was the same as that of John the Baptist, what Jesus did was different from John. Jesus sums up his own ministry in his answer to John.</p>
<p>Matt 11:4-5 Jesus replied, &#8220;Go back and report to John what you hear and see: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.</p>
<p>Jesus himself said that the miracles were proof that He was from the Father: &#8220;Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves.&#8221; (John 14:11)</p>
<p>5) Jesus Heals All</p>
<p>It is important to note that Jesus healed all. From Peter&#8217;s mother-in-law&#8217;s fever, to the blind, to the demon possessed, no case was too small, or too difficult, or too undeserving for the Lord. He refused no one who came to Him for healing.</p>
<p>We need to fix our eyes on Jesus. We hear many people say, &#8220;My experience is that not everybody gets healed,&#8221; and are therefore hesitant to go after sickness. Many even knew a godly person, who trusted the Lord for healing, and yet died. Such situations are often used as an excuse against healing. To restore healing in the church, we need to look past these situations and regain our confidence in dealing with the sick directly from the ministry of Jesus. Jesus is the chief cornerstone, and without confidence in His ministry, we find ourselves unable to act with authority against sickness.</p>
<p>6) Jesus Healed Everywhere He Went</p>
<p>During this time the only ones who taught the scriptures without healing, were the scribes and Pharisees, but everywhere Jesus went, people were healed. He was the Doctor with the sick streaming to His meetings and leaving healed. Jesus was the &#8216;health care system&#8217; of the day. Healing either preceded or followed the teaching and preaching of Jesus.</p>
<p>Luke 6:17-20 A large crowd of his disciples was there and a great number of people from all over Judea, from Jerusalem, and from the coast of Tyre and Sidon, who had come to hear him and to be healed of their diseases. Those troubled by evil spirits were cured, and the people all tried to touch him, because power was coming from him and healing them all. Looking at his disciples, he said: &#8220;Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the kingdom of God.</p>
<p>Matt 9:35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness.</p>
<p>7) Jesus Commanded All Those He Sent Out To Heal The Sick</p>
<p>Jesus sends out the Twelve with these instructions:</p>
<p>Matt. 10:5-8 These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: &#8220;Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans. Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel. As you go, preach this message: &#8216;The kingdom of heaven is near.&#8217; Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.</p>
<p>Similarly, the seventy-two is sent out:</p>
<p>Luke 10:8-9 &#8220;When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, &#8216;The kingdom of God is near you.&#8217;</p>
<p>And, when after the resurrection, Jesus commands his disciples to take the Gospel to the entire world, his instructions are consistent with the above. The sick must be healed wherever the Gospel of the Kingdom is preached.</p>
<p>Mark 16:15-18 &amp; 20 He said to them, &#8220;Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.&#8221; &#8230; Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it.<br />
 <img src='http://www.worldinchrist.com/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif' alt='8)' class='wp-smiley' /> Jesus Expected That Those Who Believed In Him Would Duplicate His Ministry</p>
<p>John 14:12 I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.</p>
<p>The apostles and believers of the early church did this. Peter and John healed the man at the Gate Beautiful and are thrown into jail as a result. Yet, when they are released, they pray that God will increase the healing anointing in the church. They saw no future in a church unable to heal the sick.</p>
<p>Acts 4:29-31 Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus.&#8221; After they prayed, the place where they were meeting was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly.</p>
<p>Acts 5:12 The apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders among the people.</p>
<p>Acts 5:15-16 As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least Peter&#8217;s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by. Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by evil spirits, and all of them were healed.</p>
<p>9) Stephen And Philip Heals All In The Name Of Jesus</p>
<p>Even people who are not mentioned in any of the four Gospels, and who did not seem to have had any special access to Jesus while He was on earth, were powerful in healing and miracles:</p>
<p>Acts 6:8 Now Stephen, a man full of God&#8217;s grace and power, did great wonders and miraculous signs among the people.</p>
<p>Acts 8:5-8 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Christ there. When the crowds heard Philip and saw the miraculous signs he did, they all paid close attention to what he said. With shrieks, evil spirits came out of many, and many paralytics and cripples were healed. So there was great joy in that city.</p>
<p>10) Paul&#8217;s Ministry</p>
<p>Acts 14:3 So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to do miraculous signs and wonders.</p>
<p>Acts 19:11-12 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.</p>
<p>From these verses and others we see that where ever Paul ministered he healed the sick. When writing about his own ministry, Paul clearly indicates that he always did healings and miracles. He regarded it as extremely important to the establishment of the Kingdom of God.</p>
<p>Rom. 15:18-19 I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obey God by what I have said and done &#8212; by the power of signs and miracles, through the power of the Spirit. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.</p>
<p>I Cor. 2:1&amp; 4-5 When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit&#8217;s power, so that your faith might not rest on men&#8217;s wisdom, but on God&#8217;s power.</p>
<p>II Cor 12:12 The things that mark an apostle&#8211;signs, wonders and miracles&#8211;were done among you with great perseverance.</p>
<p>Paul did not proclaim a gospel without demonstrating the Kingdom of God in power by healing the sick and doing miracles. We often think of Paul&#8217;s ministry in terms of the letters that he wrote to the churches and then conclude that the ministry of an apostle is primarily sorting out problems in church leadership. Or we use his letters to derive theology and doctrine, but we pay little attention to how he actually ministered.</p>
<p>11) Summary</p>
<p>It is clear from the ministry of Jesus Christ, the Acts of the Apostles, and Paul&#8217;s own writings that doing healings and miracles, is the only pattern for ministry in the New Testament. The philosophy of ministry where healing the sick has biblical base. We just looked at the ministry of Jesus Christ in New Testament and now let us endeavor to follow the pattern that is so clearly set forth.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>What is faith? When ever we see the words &#8220;faith&#8221; or &#8220;believe&#8221; in the New Testament, they are normally a translation from the original Greek root word pistis. The noun form of the word, pistis, is normally translated as &#8220;faith&#8221; and the verb form, pisteuo, is translated as &#8220;believe.&#8221;</p>
<p>The standard definitions of &#8220;faith&#8221; and &#8220;believe&#8221; imply intellectual agreement with an idea or accepting something as truth, but pistis means more than that. As used in the Bible, it also implies trust in and reliance on God or Christ, surrender of our wills to God or Christ, and conduct consistent with that surrender.</p>
<p>All those elements are present in any mention of &#8220;faith&#8221; or &#8220;believe&#8221; in the New Testament, but from the context we can often realize that some of the elements are emphasized. Unfortunately, there are no words in the English language that capture the complete meaning of the original pistis and pisteuo, so we are left with the often inadequate words of &#8220;faith&#8221; and &#8220;believe.&#8221;</p>
<p>Faith is seen as a conviction of the truth of anything, belief; in the NT of a conviction or belief respecting man&#8217;s relationship to God and divine things, basically with the included idea of trust and holy fervour born of faith and joined with it. As in relation to God. The conviction that God exists or belief that Jesus is the Messiah and is the creator and ruler of all things, the provider and bestower of eternal salvation through Christ.</p>
<p>Faith, has the secondary meaning of &#8220;an assurance or guarantee,&#8221; e.g., Act 17:31 by raising Christ from the dead, God has given &#8220;assurance&#8221; that the world will be judged by Him. All who believe in Jesus Christ will be saved by obeying his command of baptism in his name (Acts 2:38, 4:12, 8:12-18, 10:36-48, 16:15/31-33).</p>
<p>But what does it mean to really believe in Jesus Christ? Even the devil believes that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. He does not like it, but he knows it is true. Moreover, the devil knows that God exists and that he rewards those who seek him (Hebrews 11:6). So what is the difference between our belief and the devil&#8217;s belief? James gives us an answer: True faith is shown by action (James 2:18-26). What we do shows what we really believe. Behavior can be evidence of faith, even though some people obey for wrong reasons. Even the devil operates within constraints imposed by God.</p>
<p>So what is true saving faith, and how does that differ from just mere belief without responding action? The simplest explanation is that saving faith is trust. We trust God to take care of us, to do good for us rather than evil, to give us eternal life. Trust means knowing that God exists, knowing that he is good, knowing that he has the power to do what he wants, and trusting that he will use it to do whatever is best for us. Trust means a willingness to put ourselves under him, to be willing to obey not out of fear but out of love.</p>
<p>When we trust God, we love him. Trust is shown by what we do. But the action is not the trust, and it does not create the trust, as it is only the result of trust. True faith is, at it&#8217;s core, is actively trusting and obeying Jesus Christ. Jesus himself said this on active faith. John 6:29 Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.</p>

Matthew 7:7. What a blessing to know that whatever you ask for you will receive it as long as it is in accordance with the word of Jesus Christ. Did you know that we have tremendous tools we can use which is our words, and minds. The Bible tells us over and over again that if we ask for anything in Jesus name we shall receive it.</p>
<p>Let us look at James 3:4 it says take ships as an example. Although they are so huge and are drive by powerful winds, they are steered by a very tiny rudder wherever the pilot wants to go. Likewise the tongue is a tiny part of the body, but it makes tremendous boasts. Consider what a huge forest is set on fire by a tiny spark. The tongue also is a fire, a world of evil among the parts of the body. It corrupts the whole person, sets the whole course of his life on fire, and is itself set on fire by hell.</p>
<p>All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God&#8217;s likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. It says at Proverbs 15:1 A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. Proverbs 17:20 it says A man of perverse heart does not prosper; he whose tongue is deceitful falls into trouble.</p>
<p>It is also indicates in 1Peter 3:10 For, whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. Wow!!! Is that fantastic or what to know that Jesus listens to your prayers.</p>
<p>Now check Mark 11:24 it says Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that you Father in heaven may for give you your sins.</p>
<p>Do you recall the fig tree? You can refer to Matthew 21: 18, but look at Matthew 21:21 Jesus replied, I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, Go, throw yourself into the sea; and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer. Now look At Ephesians 3:20 it says Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.</p>
<p>We all have to know; By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God&#8217;s command, so that what is seen was not make out of what is visible. Hebrews 11:3 Take a look at Matthew 12:36 it says But I tell you that men will have to give account of the day of judgement for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned. At Proverbs 28:23 it says He who rebukes a man will in the end gain more favor than he who has a flattering tongue. So please develop a powerful faith in Jesus Christ, and keep praying and asking in Jesus name.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Strong&#8217;s Exhaustive Concordance defines grace or favor as the following. From chairo; graciousness (as gratifying), of manner or act (abstract or concrete; literal, figurative or spiritual; especially the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude) acceptable, benefit, favour, gift, grace(- ious), joy, liberality, pleasure, thank(-s, -worthy).</p>
<p>Basically it is the Divine influence upon the heart and it&#8217;s reflection in our life. Meaning it is given upon us by God to lead, give, or make a way for us to him. It&#8217;s power must be shown in our lives to be validated. Grace not only enables salvation, it motivates us to Godly living along with a generous outlook upon others.</p>
<p>It is by it we gain spiritual gifts and spiritual empowering. The favor of God is without limits. A person can reject or neglect it on a personal level. Unfortunately, some say we are saved by it alone. An example of this would be to simply quote this scripture. This again is the taking of a few scriptures out of context, rather than applying the whole word of God.</p>
<p>&#8220;For by grace are ye saved.&#8221; Instead of quoting the whole verse with it&#8217;s true meaning or intention. And here it is. Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.</p>
<p>For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. No doubt that nobody can come to God except by the means of grace. Not one person could dispute that fact. Yet, it only enables or permits an approach to God. And our faith must bridge the gap to God, (that was made for or given to us, by grace) through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.</p>
<p>Here is a story that best summarizes grace, faith, and works up that I can think of.</p>
<p>If I were to inform you that tomorrow at the CitiBank on Linton Street in Houston, Texas that there was a check worth one million dollars, waiting just for you. And all that you had to do was show up at 2 PM, sign for it, and then cash it using the name of Jesus Christ, would you do it? The grace factor is my offer to you with no strings attached. It is yours for the taking.</p>
<p>The faith and works factor is your willingness to believe, thereby acting upon the offer given to you. Now do you really believe me? That depends on what you did. If you really believed you would have obeyed or went there, and done it. That is a simplified explanation of these principles. My prayer is that God has blessed you immensely by reading this.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The central thesis of the Book of Job, dealing as it is doing with the age-old question of why life is unfair, is that there is no such thing as unfairness in life.</p>
<p>For it&#8217;s just our egos, our sense of ourselves and the entitlement such a sense often brings, that causes us to perceive life as being unfair. To be disadvantaged is not unfair. It is not fair, either, but neither is it unfair. When it comes to such givens as our looks, our wealth, and even our health, it isn&#8217;t only pointless to protest but wholly wrong-headed to do so. One might just as well protest that the sky should be green and the grass blue!</p>
<p>But we see the ridiculousness of that because our egos are not concerned ; it neither helps nor impedes us that the sky is some color or other. Yet it is doing matter when it comes to our looks, our possessions, and our bodily vitality. And so it is our own self-interest that declares whether something is fair or unfair, then our own self-interest, and not some reference to some morality over and above ourselves.</p>
<p>Of course, in the world of the Book of Job, that morality is God, and if taken literally, which is to say anthropomorphically, it is a oppressive indictment, for Job&#8217;s whole suffering was simply the result of a bet between God and none other than the devil who is, additionally, seemingly a regular presence at the heavenly court!</p>
<p>Like all works of art, the Book of Job is enduring for its rich multifaceted character which admits of no easy interpretation or, to put it another way, admits of many simultaneously valid interpretations. It is an ancient existential classic because of its logic-shorting understanding, much in the spirit of a Zen koan, little but intricately detailed in the mind of him who would unravel its many meanings.</p>
