I grew up in an orthodox Jewish home in New York, and several years ago I came to believe that Yeshua (Yeshua is the Hebrew way to say the Greek name Jesus) is truly the Jewish Messiah. Believing that Yeshua is the Messiah wasn’t easy. I had many, many questions, and I spent months examining the evidences and seeking G-d’s answers. During my journey, I constantly reminded myself of a very important verse from the Jewish Scriptures (the Tanakh). The Jewish prophet Jeremiah records the words of G-d, You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart (Jeremiah 29:13).

The Jewish Scriptures (The Torah, The Prophets, and The Writings, which make up the Tanakh or the Jewish Bible) paint a very clear picture of who the Mashiach (Messiah) will be when He eventually comes to the nation of Israel. In fact, there are over 300 prophecies in the Hebrew Scriptures, which detail many facts about this coming Messiah/king. Here is just a sampling (and remember, all these verses come from the Jewish Bible):

Messiah was to be born at Bethlehem: Micah 5:1.
Messiah would be from the tribe of Judah: Genesis 49:10.
Messiah would present himself by riding on an ass: Zechariah 9:9.
Messiah would be tortured to death: Psalm 22.
Messiah would arrive before the destruction of the Second Temple: Daniel 9:24-27.

Messiah’s life would match a particular description, including suffering, silence at his arrest and trial, death and burial in a rich man’s tomb, and resurrection: Isaiah 52:13-53:12.

Christian prophecy is remarkably specific. In detail as to lineage, birthplace, time and lifestyle, Jesus matched the Messianic expectations of the Hebrew Scriptures. The record of this fulfillment is to be found in the pages of the New Testament. As you review the more extensive list of Jewish Messianic prophecies, allow G-d to speak to your heart and your mind as you seek HIS truth.

Interestingly, the Jewish Scriptures paint seemingly two different pictures about the Messiah to come. For one, they talk about the Messiah who will come as the reigning King, who will usher in a period of unprecedented peace on earth. But many verses talk about the Mashiach who will be a suffering servant, who will suffer and die for the sins of the people. For many hundreds of years the rabbis believed that there would be two Messiahs, the King Mashiach ben David, and the suffering servant Mashiach ben Joseph. The rabbis, unfortunately, were not able to see that one Messiah would accomplish both missions.

Christian prophecy was indeed fulfilled in the Jewish Messiah. Yeshua came to the “lost sheep of the House of Israel” 2000 years ago. He came as Isaiah chapter 53 so clearly states, to die and “suffer” for the sins of the Jewish people. He came to the nation of Israel, but was rejected. If the Jews would have accepted His “once for all” (Hebrews 10:10) atonement for sins, Yeshua would have ushered in the Kingdom of Heaven at that point in history. But the Jews did not recognize Him. Even though they had the Word of G-d in their own Hebrew Scriptures, and more than 300 descriptions of who He would be when He comes, they missed Him. As a result, the Good News of God’s Kingdom went forth to the Gentile world, and for 2000 years now both Jew and Gentile have come together in Mashiach, looking forward to His soon return as reigning King, just as the rabbis have always expected.

Although the nation of Jews rejected Yeshua when He came, G-d has always, through the last 2000 years, kept a “remnant” of believing Jews for Himself. I and many thousands of Jews alive today, have received Yeshua as their Lord, and Savior, and Mashiach. We have been blessed with “new life” in Him, and we look forward to eternal life with Him in G-d’s heavenly Kingdom.

This is a lot to digest, but if you are asking this question, it is G-ds Spirit (the Ruach HaKodesh) who has drawn you to this information. I pray that you will continue your examination of the evidences of who Jesus really is and His claims to be the Jewish Messiah in fulfillment of Hebrew prophecy. Remember the words of Yeshua, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20). Perhaps Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah, is standing at the door of your heart right now! Consider Him! Open the door and allow Him to come into you!

The maze symbolizes a city (or nation) within Planet Earth. The spread of cataclysmic war has made the world a dangerous place to live in; consequently, many adult spheres seek to evacuate the city (or nation) flooding in ruin but it is the innocent imagination of a child that believes (and who escapes in the end).

Lets review a few events in history and the media (that are precursors to future warfare).

1) The preparation and building of the New World Order is a fact, but what exactly is its purpose? Is it for world peace or for world domination? The strange symbols on our money (especially in the United States), and the number of conspiracy theorists warning the common man, all but illustrate a growing fear in the world population.

2) The Palestinian / Israeli tension has not lessened since the inception of the State of Israel in 1948. Will World War 3 (WWIII) be waged on the planet because of the never ending tension between these two ethnic groups (or religions)? Nations such as the United States may bank on this opportunity to wage war (for example, against Iran) that greater control may be established in the world by government(s), under the apparent main government leader of the New World Order: the United States.

3) Will Islamism or Fundamentalist Islam be the spark to ignite the fury of WWIII? Consider the fiery spark from the brutal murders of innocents by Islamists for political reasons. If not for political reasons, then consider the recent depiction of the prophet Muhammad in a bear costume by South Park which received a death threat (and then consider the furious, almost genocidal outrage that ensued by the secular community reacting to this threat and other related threats / tragedies).

4) Is the global economic collapse (of a multitude of nations) the result of mere chance or of careful planning by world powers to establish a one-world currency? Was the Subprime Mortgage Crisis a mere chance event or was it a carefully planned event executed by global investment banks to weaken the American economy and thereby negatively affect the economies of other nations as well?

5) Why the secrecy of UFO-related phenomena and the withholding of information from the public? Especially in the United States, the public has been kept in the dark for the longest time about these sightings and phenomena (unlike Canadian government, which I believe has gone public concerning the matter). Is it because they really are a threat to the public and the United States government is protecting the public, or is it for another reason?

Armageddon [] is the site of an epic battle associated with the end time prophecies of the Abrahamic religions.

According to some premillennial Christian interpretations, the Messiah, the “Lamb”, Jesus Christ, will return to earth and defeat the Antichrist (the “beast”) in the battle of Armageddon. Then Satan will be put into the bottomless pit or abyss for 1,000 years, known as the Millennial age. After being released from the abyss, Satan will gather Gog and Magog from the four corners of the earth. They will encamp surrounding the holy ones and the “beloved city”. Fire will come down from God, out of heaven and devour Gog and Magog after the Millenium, and the Devil who deceived them is thrown into Gehenna (the lake of fire and brimstone) where the Beast and the False Prophet have been since just before the 1,000 years.[4]

I was born and reared in Israel at a very secular kibbutz. Of course, we celebrated all the Jewish holidays. However, on Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year, instead of fasting as it is commanded, we held a big barbeque. When we were able to get hold of a pig to roast, it was a major accomplishment. After serving in the Israeli army, I came to America and later married my wife, Bimini. After a few years, she wanted to convert to Judaism. She began reading the Torah and this inspired me to read the Bible alsoI didn’t want her to know more about my Bible than I did! However, very soon, to my dismay, she “turned Christian” on me.

I vigorously opposed all Bimini’s attempts to share Jesus with me. Eventually, she flagged down a Jews for Jesus missionary handing out tracts on Market Street in San Francisco. She said we needed help.

I didn’t think that I needed any help, but since it was so important to my wife, I eventually allowed a Jews for Jesus missionary to visit. When Garrett Smith came, I asked him to show me in “my Bible” where it says that Jesus is the Messiah. To my surprise, Garrett showed me many messianic prophecies in the Old Testament and pointed out how Jesus fulfilled them.

After a good while, Garrett told me to ask the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to reveal to me who Jesus is. And I did.

Amazing things began to happen. Our pet bunny was paralyzed in her rear legs and had been for nearly a year. One evening, I laid my hand on her and said, “Jesus, if you are who they say you are, let’s see you heal her!” (I didn’t realize Who I was talking to at the time!) Before I even opened my eyes, she began hopping around the room on all four legs! After the initial shock wore off, I quickly dismissed it as a coincidence.

One day I told Bimini it was ridiculous to believe that God would actually judge people, or that we needed a savior. That night, I dreamed that my favorite radio talk show hostwhom I greatly respecttold me, “Oded, read the story of Lot’s wife in the Bible.” When I awoke, I had no idea what it meant, but when I read the passage, it made perfect sense. I saw that God is serious about sin, and about faith and obedience. To this day, my wife and I remember how God loves me so much, He was willing to come to me in a dream disguised as a talk show host to get me to listen!

God continued to be gracious to me with miracles and signs, and I finally relented and received Him as my Lord and Savior. Garrett would later use me as an illustration of 1 Corinthians 1:22, which says that Jews demand miraculous signs.

Since opening my heart to Jesus, my life is filled with joy and the peace of God. I understand that all the Bible stories I once viewed as fairy tales are precious and true. My traditions now have deep meaning for me. Most importantly, the God I once heard about, but never knew, is now a very personal and living God in my life. I want to serve Him with all of my heart and give Him all that I am.

“How is Jesus Christ unique?”

Answer: 1. He is the only, unique Son of God (Psalm 2:7, 11-12; John 1:14; Luke 1:35).

2. He is eternal. He existed from eternity past, He exists in the present, and He will exist for all eternity in the future (John 1:1-3, 14; John 8:58).

3. Jesus alone is the One who bore our sins so that we could have forgiveness and be saved from them (Isaiah 53; Matthew 1:21; John 1:29; 1 Peter 2:24; 1 Corinthians 15:1-3).

4. Jesus is the only Way to the Father (John 14:6; Acts 4:12; 1 Timothy 2:5); there is no other way to salvation. He is the only righteous One who exchanged that perfect righteousness for our sin (2 Corinthians 5:21).

5. Jesus alone had power over His own death and the ability take back His life again (John 2:19; 10:17-18). Note: His resurrection was not a spiritual one, but was physical (Luke 24:39). His resurrection from the dead, never to die again, distinguished Him as the unique Son of God (Romans 1:4).

6. Jesus alone accepted worship as an equal with the Father (John 20:28-29; Philippians 2:6), and indeed God the Father states that the Son is to be honored as He is honored (John 5:23). All others, whether Jesus disciples or angelic beings, rightly reject that worship (Acts 10:25-26; Acts 14:14-15; Matthew 4:10; Revelation 19:10; 22:9).

7. Jesus has the power to give life to whom He will (John 5:21).

8. The Father has committed all judgment to Jesus (John 5:22).

9. Jesus was with the Father and directly involved in the creation, and it is by His hand that all things are held together (John 1:1-3; Ephesians 3:9; Hebrews 1:8-10; Colossians 1:17).

1Co 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.

So, why God heal AIDS, heart disease, diabetes, etc., instead of healing amputees ?
Because God even cares about is human life.
If you once thought(Why God Won’t heal amputees?), then quickly go to pray to repent! I believe that God will be very happy, because the addition of a child recognized him!
